Data stored on the device

Ayet does not require a user account. Language and appearance preferences, reading progress and listening history are stored on the device. This information is not transferred to the developer’s servers and is not used for ad personalization.

Audio downloads

Optional audio packs are downloaded through Cloudflare’s infrastructure. During the download, the IP address and technical connection data may be processed by the service provider. Downloaded content is stored on the device and can be used offline.

Ads and privacy preferences

Ayet uses Google AdMob to show ads and Google User Messaging Platform to manage privacy preferences.

These services may process device and connection information, approximate location, ad interactions and diagnostic data for ad delivery, measurement and security.

Ad personalization depends on the applicable permissions and regional privacy preferences. The iOS tracking permission can be managed in the device settings, and other ad privacy preferences offered can be managed within the app.

Data retention and deletion

App data is stored on the device and is deleted from the device when the app is removed. Operating system backups and data held by third-party services are subject to their own retention terms.

Changes to the privacy policy

The privacy policy may be updated in line with changes to the app’s data processing. The current version date is stated on this page.

Third-party content and sources

Arabic recitation and audio source

The Arabic Quran recitations in our app were obtained from the MP3Quran.net platform. The recitations were performed by Mishary Rashid Alafasy in the murattal style according to the narration of Hafs from Asim.

The recordings have been divided into short segments suited to the app’s verse- and passage-based listening experience, and their volume levels have been adjusted. The original content of the recitation has been preserved.
